Happy Friday, Campers!!! This week has been such a blur, am I right? The holiday season seems to go on warp speed, and I’m just hanging on for the ride. Luckily, it’s the weekend, and that means it’s time to unplug, slow down, and play outside! So, to kick off this weekend, we want to introduce you to one of our favorite landscape photographers, Tylyn! She has the most amazing waterscape images I’ve ever seen. Make sure you check out her Instagram to see them all! (After reading more about her, of course!) Let’s get to know more about Tylyn!
Weekend Warrior | Tylyn
1. Where did your love of the great outdoors come from, and what does it do for you?
My love of the outdoors came from my grandparents who instilled family traditions of camping and hiking. Each year my extended family would take trips to Yellowstone and Boulder, UT where we would camp, fish, hike, and just enjoy being outside surrounded by beautiful scenery. Being outside is like a reset button for me…after a long week of working a desk job, it’s reenergizing and literally a breath of fresh air to get away from the city and up into the mountains. It is also a reminder of how much there is to appreciate in this life.
2. What does weekend warrior mean to you?
Being a weekend warrior to me means working hard so I can play hard. It means prioritizing quality time spent with my husband over catching up on chores and the things that can wait for another day. It means sacrificing some sleep in order to catch a sunrise or to stay up late photographing star trails. It means taking every opportunity to live life to the fullest!
3. Where is your next adventure?
I’d love to say that Iceland is my next adventure…it’s been at the top of my bucket list for quite a while, but realistically it’s probably a nearby hike to a waterfall or lake. I live in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, so it’s hard to complain when there is so much to see right in my back yard! And I’ll get to Iceland some day!
Yeah, that’s on our bucket list, too, Tylyn! In the meantime, we will take the outdoors any way we can get it, right? Thank you so much for sharing your story with us! And keep those rad pics coming! You’re so talented!
Until next Friday, Campers… happy adventuring!
